Boston Massacre Trial

Through a recreation of historically accurate testimony a trial is held to determine the fate of a nation
Reenacting history. Thinking today.

Students act as lawyers, witnesses and jurors in a recreation of the Boston Massacre Trial.  The students spend a significant amount of time preparing through research and close study of witness testimonies. Witnesses are expected to be knowledgable about the historical details of the testimony, the scene, and the society while attorneys are expected to employ rhetorical techniques in the writing of their opening and closing arguments as well as their questions for witnesses.
