Immersion in nature
Students were asked to spend thirty minutes a day completely immersed in nature away from the lures of cell phones and society for the period of one week. During this period we asked students to refrain from the use of modern technology and to keep a journal that reflected upon both their observations of nature and their attempts to simplify their lives by moving away from the pull of technology. These journals document the process of turning away from a modern, digital life towards a life in communion with the natural world.
